In our locality of Howrah Pilkhana, many neighbours are held back by two simple things: no wheelchair to move around with dignity, and no thela (cart) to start earning an honest living.
We are raising funds to:
• Provide wheelchairs to those who cannot walk
• Give thelas/carts to unemployed people so they can sell vegetables or fruit and support their families
A wheelchair costs about Rs 4000 and a thela about Rs 5500.
One cart gives a family a daily income.
A wheelchair provides a person with the independence to fulfill their daily needs.
